«Beautiful landscapes and absolute tranquility were determining factors. In addition, the location is extremely strategic: we are close to the sea and wonderful villages such as San Gimignano and Volterra. It is a place that offers both privacy and serenity, close to the most fascinating destinations in Tuscany».
You personally oversaw the villa’s renovation, from construction to furnishing. Did you have a clear vision from the start, or did it evolve over time?
«I followed every step of the project, relying on architect Tiziano Pucci, who masterfully brought my vision to life. As for the interior design, I had a clear idea of the style and atmosphere I wanted to create from the beginning».
This villa is surrounded by nature and designed to enhance the surrounding landscape. How important was it for you to establish harmony between architecture and the environment?
«It was essential. I wanted to create a contemporary farmhouse that preserved the authentic Tuscan tradition charm, featuring exposed wooden beams, travertine flooring, and hand-crafted parquet, all complemented by modern metal accents. The result is a perfect balance of elegance and authenticity».
The large floor-to-ceiling windows are a defining feature of this home. How important is it today to create a connection between indoor and outdoor spaces?
«I think it’s crucial, and I wanted to bring that concept to life by making the landscape part of the home itself. Now, the stunning Tuscan hills and the view of Volterra are integral to the living experience. Even the furnishings and mirrors have been carefully designed to reflect light and enhance the connection with nature».

«The idea came from the desire to merge wellness with nature, creating an environment where one can completely relax. The glass allows one to enjoy an extraordinary view of the hills, amplifying the feeling of freedom and immersion in the landscape».

«The sunset, with no doubt. It’s the most magical moment of the day: from the pool, you can watch the sun slowly set over the hills, surrounded by silence and an incomparable sense of privacy».

«The combination of Tuscan tradition and modern technology. The open spaces, the almost complete absence of dividing walls, the panoramic sauna, and, of course, the two fireplaces are iconic elements of the house: the Gyrofocus in the living room and the fireplace beside the large bathtub in the master bedroom. Every detail has been designed to create a refined yet welcoming atmosphere».
