Case Bound Book Week – Friday
January 29th, 2010 | Link
This one is a bit different for me. I originally bought the Chiyogami paper intending it for use as the inside of book covers, but with the red it reminded me of an old book so I went for it on the cover instead.
The book is 5-1/2″ wide and 8-1/2″ high and about 5/8″ thick, with six sections of Mohawk Superfine 100lb paper (4 folios per section) for a total of 96 pages.
I really, really love this one. Was it on the for sale list? I’m pretty sure I would have bought it.
Oh yeah, I have a full archive of bathtubdreamer books over here. From one of your first accordian books made from a kit. I’m saving it all for the retrospective exhibit in 20 years.
Hi Shannon, I’ve been playing catchup with reading my favourite blogs. I really like your casebound journals you’ve shown over the past week. They look good and the headbands are lovely. I’ll have to comeback to read more. All the best, Carol
Jane, if you decide you want it I’m sure that could be arranged. I remember that accordion book, it was from one of my early trips to SF: the boards and pages came from Paper Source, and the black-and-red Haida paper came from Flax. (All the other books you’ve obtained from me are a blur, however!)
Welcome back, Carol, and thanks!
